New look of luxury

ONE of the kingdom’s top hotels has completed a BD3.5m renovation project and its renewed rooms and suites will be ready to receive their first guests in March.
A crash, bang, wallop ‘demolition party’ was staged last May to mark the start of work, as reported in GulfWeekly.  Donning hard hats, members of the management team and special guests set about a wall with enthusiasm. Those getting into the swing of things included Crowne Plaza Bahrain’s general manager Gilles Nicolas, senior executives from the owning company, hospitality industry friends and staff members.
Gilles said the investment was necessary ‘to keep pace with the market and the strong competition, especially with the entry of new hotels’. Crowne Plaza Bahrain, one of the business brands in Intercontinental Hotel Group’s portfolio, he added, was determined to retain the hotel's status as one of the leading five-star hotels in Bahrain.
“Today’s modern business traveller craves a hotel experience that blends work and rest,” Gilles said, “they want to boost their productivity and feel inspired in the process.
“Stripped down to drywall, the guest rooms have been completely transformed, leaving leisure guests too with everything they need for an enjoyable and relaxing family getaway.”
Located only steps away from the newly-opened Avenues-Bahrain mall, the hotel’s rooms have been ‘tastefully decorated to reflect the vibrant urban charm’ of Bahrain’s business district.
The new guest rooms and suites boast a spacious layout and unique features. There are also plus interactive 43-inch smart televisions, brand new beds and airy windows, giving the rooms a whole new look and feel that aim to compliment the hotel’s prime location. Guests will also be able to enjoy the modern furniture upgrades, such as new workstations with media hub, built-in reading lamps and soft seating.
The bathrooms have also undergone a complete makeover featuring bright, upgraded interiors and fixtures trimmed with new rain-showers and lighting, including a superior amenity package.
German specialists Hansgrohe’s latest state-of-the-art iBox universal thermostatic solutions have been installed in the bathrooms, described by the hotel as a ‘first of its kind in Bahrain’.
The Crowne Plaza Bahrain’s new Club Lounge will also be opening next month to coincide with the unveiling of the hotel’s newly-renovated rooms.
